What is Covered by the Legacy Protection Plan (LPP)
We will cover repairs up to and including an entire remake of your piece and replacement of any stones that are provided by Scintillating Diamond. We will not cover the replacement of the entire piece if lost or stolen. You must have your piece to use the protection plan.
The LPP will be active upon delivery of your piece and will remain active for a period of 5 years. Once purchased, there will be no additional actions required by the guest in order for the LPP to be active. However, if you bring your piece in for an inspection at least one time per calendar year and your piece is deemed to be in good condition by our Master Jeweler, we will automatically renew your LPP for an additional 5 year period at no additional cost. If you choose not to bring your piece in to be inspected by an approved Scintillating Jeweler, then your LPP will be considered complete and no longer active after the 5 year period. You will, however, be able to purchase a new LPP at the same price point you originally paid once any repairs deemed necessary by the Master Jeweler are completed.
If your center stone is lost and has to be replaced or if at any point during your 5 year period your piece is determined to require a full remake to repair it, then your LPP will be considered complete and no longer active once the repairs are completed. You will, however, have the option to purchase a new LPP at the same price point that you originally paid. If your center stone is chipped, we will first try to recut the stone to remove the chip so long as it does not reduce the carat weight by more than 0.10ct.
If you allow any jeweler other than an approved Scintillating Master Jeweler to work on your piece, your LPP will become void and no longer active. Furthermore, you will not be eligible to purchase a new LPP for this piece as we cannot guarantee the craftsmanship or materials used by other jewelers.
If requesting to purchase an LPP on an existing Scintillating Diamond piece at any point other than at the time of purchase, our Master Jeweler must inspect your piece and determine that it is in like-new condition in order for you to purchase an LPP. You can purchase an LPP at any point so long as the piece has been inspected by one of our Master Jewelers at Scintillating Diamond within 30 days of you requesting to add the LPP. If upon inspection, the Master Jeweler determines that your piece requires any repairs then you will be required to pay for the cost of all repairs in addition to the cost of the LPP.
